Website Planning
Our principals conduct interviews to develop unique “mind maps” that identify all the key components and features of the website, illustrations, and the overall organization of the site. This map is used as a template to efficiently build the website without wasted effort at later stages.
Early in the site design process, we determine the design of header graphics, logotypes, color, type design. and coordinated branding features of the site. Photographs and illustrations are selected to help illustrate each page of the site… if the client does not have these images in hand, we can assist in shooting or selecting images from reputable sources.
WordPress Websites
To provide excellent interactivity for users, many of the websites we produce are based on custom themes on the WordPress platform. Integrated blog posting, informational sidebars and hundreds of customized plug-ins are available to meet the needs of any client. The WordPress.org platform has in recent years become the preferred CMS (Content Management System). Once recommended only for blogging, WordPress is now far more flexible. Most importantly, once produced, except for new, complex requirements, they should be simple for the client to maintain themselves.
Training
We don’t design the site and leave – or worse, create a proprietary site that requires continued and expensive updating by the web designer. All of our WordPress web projects include basic training on how to update posts and make changes to the site without professional assistance.
