Ray Gordon is responsible for all Courage Group design, graphics, film and photographic services.
He is an award-winning designer with a wide breadth of experience in architecture, website design, training, photography, digital video, film editing, and computer graphics.
An architect and urban designer originally from New York City, Ray lived in Japan for 12 years, working as an art director for several Japanese advertising agencies. Ray also founded a design and marketing firm assisting American and European clients in introducing their products to the Japanese market.
Ray is proficient in many business as well as design programs, and has trained clients in their use in hands-on seminars and classes. This allows the Courage Group to closely integrate design solutions with our clients’ business goals.
A graduate of New York’s renowned Pratt Institute, Ray holds both Bachelors and Masters degrees. His photography as well as writing on design, architecture, infrastructure, and energy systems have been widely published.
Ray taught graduate level courses for 17 years at Pratt, New York University and Columbia University, and served as the assistant chairman of his graduate department at Pratt. Over the years he introduced new courses on graphic production, computer design and photography. Ray has lectured to professional audiences on architecture, design, photography, graphics and marketing in the USA and Japan. He also taught several design courses at Temple University’s Tokyo campus.
Ray is currently serving on the Board of Marine Biology & Environmental Technologies, a sustainable marine biology company with operations in North America.
