Sustainability Forums Kauai Oct 11 Photos and Mahalo

Chris Jaeb, founder of Common Ground Kauai and Diann Hartman, Green Team Leader for the Grand Hyatt Kauai, Recipient for the Kapaa Rotary Club Green Giant Award for 2010 were the featured speakers for Sustainability Forums October 11, 2011.

Both of the presentations were specific, inspiring and generated questions and discussion. In addition, the conversations in the room before and after the presentations among attendees were rich with information exchange.

We give a big Mahalo to both our speakers and attendees for making our second quarterly Forum another successful meeting.

Mahalo also to KKCR Felicia Cowden and Karlos Detreaux for allowing me to announce the meeting on their 4PM Tuesday radio show.

At the meeting wrap-up I talked about how we make all of us more effective by linking through Social Media and supporting each other on line. To do this we can follow each other’s blogs, “liking” them on Facebook, tweeting them and Google+’ing them. We can connect to each other’s Facebook personal profiles as friends and “like” each other’s Facebook Pages. We can follow each other on Twitter and circle each other on Google Plus. To that end, please add your social contact points as a comment here and as a post to the Sustainability Forums Kauai Facebook Page. If you are not accustomed to commenting on a website – please find these tips on commenting that I wrote for Boomer Tech Talk.

If you are passionate about sustainability, we hope to see you at our next quarterly meeting. To ensure that you get an invite, please sign up for Kauai Marketing event alerts. For more information about our meetings, here is the invitation to our Oct meeting.
